A Space for Learning

In this follow up interview, Ronnie O’Brien speaks with Rachel McAree, Education Curator of the Irish Architecture Foundation, about the selection of the ten finalists in the competition “A Space for Learning”.
The panel of judges consisted of Rachel, herself, Emmet Scanlon (Architecture Advisior to the Arts Council) and Helen O’Donoghue (Senior Curator and Head of the Education and Community Programmes IMMA). According to Rachel, the panel found the standard of desings submitted “really impressive”.
What impressed us here at near90fm was that, of the four Dublin schools selected, two are from the northside of the city. So, congratulations to the girls at Mercy College, Coolock and also to the boys in St. Paul’s College, Raheny.
